A contribution to the diversity of the genus Utricularia in the South Caucasus

Santrauka The occurrence of Utricularia × neglecta in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus was confirmed and reported for the first time. Identification of this taxon was based on a morphological examination of herbarium specimens and recently collected material from Samur-Yalama National Park. Key diagnostic characteristics indicate that previous records identified as Utricularia vulgaris can be attributed to this hybrid. These findings clarify the local distribution of aquatic Utricularia species and update the regional checklist. Future research should include field surveys and molecular analyses to clarify taxonomic boundaries and assess the conservation status of Utricularia species in Azerbaijan.
